Welcome to Labertouche Primary School

At Labertouche Primary we believe that connection is the key to everyone achieving their full potential.

Labertouche Primary School has three values, which reflect the community and school beliefs, and when connected, create the climate for everyone to achieve their full potential:

WE ARE KIND: When we cooperate and show kindness to others, we become healthier, happier and more successful. We respect others and treat people fairly and equally. We include others and accept that all individuals are unique.

WE ARE SAFE: We behave in a safe manner. We protect ourselves, and others, from injury, risk and danger. We value our self and others by providing a safe and inclusive school environment.

WE ARE CURIOUS: We continually grow, learn and question what is around us. Curiosity propels us toward deeper engagement, superior performance, and more-meaningful goals.

These values form part of our behavioural expectations and are explicitly taught to the students. The school community perceives these values as necessary skills for success in life; and that these values form the basis of a safe and supportive learning environment.

Labertouche Primary acknowledges that the behaviour of staff, parents, carers and students has an impact on our school community and culture. We acknowledge a shared responsibility to create a positive learning environment for the children and young people at our school.

There are many things I am very proud to be able to offer families at Labertouche Primary. The highlights include:

Phenomenal Student/Teacher ratios.

The classes are well supported at Labertouche Primary. We have excellent Student/Teacher ratios to ensure your child will receive maximum individual attention. All classes are supported by Education Support Staff.

STEM Zone Science Program.

We have employed a highly qualified and experienced Science teacher to run a “hands on” Science program at Labertouche Primary. This program allows our students to access high quality science equipment and opportunities on a weekly basis for one semester of the year.

Experts teaching their craft.

Alongside our Science program, we also have a qualified Music teacher, PE teacher, Visual Arts teacher, and Librarian (MARC Van) running programs in our school. I am a firm believer in expert teachers, teaching their subject matter. Inspiring and engaging educators who know their content, make all the difference!

Our Facilities

The facilities at our school are second to none. We have an enormous playground, a multipurpose court, a BMX track, an outdoor pizza oven and huge amounts of space to play and learn. Inside we have a kitchen facility that allows the children to cook, spacious classrooms, and an art studio. Set at the foot of the Bunyip State Forrest, we are surrounded by the sounds (and occasional visit) of wildlife, boast a functional chicken coop and a spacious car park.

TheirCare Before and After School Care

TheirCare works in partnership with Labertouche Primary to provide Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services every morning from 6.45am-8.45am, and every afternoon from 3.30pm-6pm. At TheirCare, children enjoy a fun learning experience. From exciting activities and healthy, nutritious food, to caring, motivated team members, you can be sure your child is safe and has lots of fun before and after school. More information can be found under the enrolment tab.

The most important thing Labertouche Primary School can offer your family is a sense of belonging and community.

Our little school cares for one another, we look after each other, and we work together to ensure we can all reach our potential. In our school we live by our values of being safe, kind, and curious every day, and our smaller size means all children can be seen, known and celebrated.

I look forward to welcoming you to our school and being given the opportunity to show you what Labertouche Primary can offer your family.
